Getting back to my European summer adventure – after ten days throughout Ireland and Greece, it was time to wind down my summer vacation and move on to the France and Austria portions of my itinerary. It just so happened that the last day of the Greece group trip was the day before the final match of the Women’s World Cup in Lyon, France. In order to get to Lyon with enough lead time to allow for delays, I spent a little extra to fly from Paros back to Athens early Saturday morning.Read More →

I’m baaaaaack from my 2-month blog vacation/hiatus/hibernation, and while I was busy living life in the moment, we went and wrapped up 2019! My year began with an unlikely Bora Bora vacation, enjoyed during the longest government shutdown in US history, and unfolded to include travel to nine more countries and territories, plus several US cities. It was a year characterized by amazing travel experiences, personal gains and struggles, and alarming choices by those tasked with leading the country.Read More →

Greece! After three packed days exploring Ireland, I was more than ready for some rest and relaxation with eleven of my sorority sisters for four nights on Paros, with most of us aiming to arrive in Athens over a 2-day period. Everyone has their uncharacteristic moments (or is that just me?) and there was a moment last year when I decided to explore the Nature Girl facet of my personality. I know, I know – it’s an extremely tiny facet, but still there, and makes itself known from time to time. I’ll be perfectly honest and admit that I picked Zion National Park after running across one too many amazing photos on social media. I had to go see for myself! Plus, I’d never been to Utah before. So I rounded up some friends, got a national parksRead More →

About three days before embarking on the luckiest vacation ever, I checked my Marriott app and saw that the Le Méridien Bora Bora had already processed an advanced upgrade to an overwater bungalow at the end of the pontoon (like a dock) – one of the most desirable rooms at the property which would have cost an extra $500 per day for an upgrade from the base points reservation for a Classic room.Read More →
