Portable Charger – I have the slightly less powerful/heavy version of this, but I continue to carry it around even though the size absolutely sucks because it will charge my phone 3 times before depleting.

Insect Repellent – Sawyer Controlled Release was recommended for my trip to Bali. I bought some, wore it every day, and maybe got 2 bites max. I forgot to bring it with me to Costa Rica a few months later, used Off, and came home with 45 bug bites 🙁 This is a limited case study but I am now a believer!
